On behalf of the Society on Ultrasound in Medical Education (SUSME), we would like to invite you to participate and support the 8th Annual World Congress of Ultrasound in Medical Education (WCUME 2023) Conference. The 8th Annual World Congress will be hosted by Wayne State University School Medicine in collaboration with Henry Ford Health System at the Detroit Marriott Renaissance Center Hotel, September 7 - 10, 2023 in Detroit Michigan.

Wayne State University was one of the two pioneering institutions to fully integrate a didactic and hands on ultrasound training into the undergraduate curricula in medical school in 2006. We have a unique experience in training over 3600 medical students over the past 12 years, and look forward to sharing our successes and challenges with all attendees during the 2023 conference. We continue to conduct ultrasound based NASA funded research on the International Space Station, and provide advanced ultrasound training for our astronaut and cosmonaut crewmembers, and would be happy to share new data from this continued collaboration at the meeting.

The WSUSOM is located in the heart of downtown Detroit, just celebrated its 150th year of medical education, research and innovation. It is the largest single-campus medical school in the nation, and has been successful in integrating ultrasound education into the undergraduate curricula. We have accumulated a wealth of data and experience in this area of medical education and innovation, and look forward to having the opportunity to share our experience during the 2023 conference.
